New Living Program

The Department of Housing and Works, through its award winning New Living Program, is refurbishing thousands of old Homeswest properties and offering them for sale to existing tenants and members of the public.

Tenants can purchase their renovated homes, continue renting or relocate to other areas. The entire neighbourhood gains as property values rise, jobs are created and old public housing areas are transformed.

Typical refurbishments involve interior and exterior painting, fencing, landscaping, reticulation, roof restoration, kitchen and bathroom improvements, carpets, light fittings and security measures.
