The Department carries out regular maintenance on more than 40,000 dwellings including public housing and Government Regional Officer Housing across Western Australia through a head contractor model.
The head contractor model appoints an overall maintenance contractor for each of the Department’s 10 regions in Western Australia who subsequently manage the work load and appoint sub-contractors to undertake the work.
They provide maintenance services for emergency, priority, routine, planned and vacant properties with an option to include lump sum works as required.
There are three Contractors operating the ten regions as follows:
- Transfield Services Australia – Metro South, Metro Southeast , Metro North, Midwest, Pilbara, Great Southern
- Lake Maintenance Services – Kimberley, Wheatbelt, Goldfields
- Programmed Facility Management – Southwest.
