Registration of Interest for the Construction Industry
The BER program is a stimulus package that is being fast tracked by the BER Taskforce. We are keen to commence awarding tenders as quickly and efficiently as possible.
In order to facilitate fast-tracking the awarding of capital works tenders, the BER Taskforce asks builders to register their interest to participate in the BER Program.
How do I register my interest?
To register your interest, complete and submit the ‘Registration of Interest for the Construction Industry – Building the Education Revolution Program – Element 1: Primary Schools for the 21st Century’ form (PDF 74 kB). This is also available in Microsoft Word format (132 kB).
Why should I register my interest to participate in the BER program?
Industry capacity – the BER program will involve approximately 650 projects across the state. The BER Taskforce encourages builders to register their interest to assist in determining the industry's capacity to deliver this program of work.
Fast-tracking tender assessment – builders will be able to assist in expediting the awarding of tenders by completing the Registration of Interest process, and at that time providing as much information as possible for the business risk assessment to be initiated.
Keep yourself informed – the BER Taskforce will send emails to builders who register their interest to keep them informed of developments with the BER program.
What sort of information will be required for me to register my interest? The BER Taskforce are interested in information that indicates the industry’s capacity to deliver the BER program, including whether you are interested in projects in the metro and/or regional areas.
In addition, to expedite the awarding of tenders you will be asked to provide some minimum criteria to enable BMW to commence the business risk assessment process. These will include:
- Legal entity (either individual name/s or company name)
- ACN (if a company)
- Trading name (if different from legal entity)
- ABN
- Trust Name (if applicable)
Providing this information will enable BMW to determine a corporate structure and obtain a Dun and Bradstreet report.
