Kinlock Infill Development

The former Kinlock Primary School site in Ferndale will be transformed into a high quality and inviting residential community with new home choices, open spaces and established trees.

The Department of Communities has appointed Yolk Property Group and Ventura Home Group as the project manager for the Kinlock Infill Development and will work closely with them to deliver approximately 90 residential lots in diverse sizes and prices to suit a range of people, lifestyles and budgets.

The 4.1-hectare vacant site is located on the corner of Latham Rd and Kinlock Ave – just 12km from the Perth CBD and close to public transport, parks, schools, Westfield Carousel shopping centre and the Canning River Regional Park.

The project is investigating opportunities to include sustainability initiatives which will benefit future residents. This may include sustainable power generation, the promotion of urban tree canopies, and pedestrian-friendly street designs. Community involvement will also ensure the development complements and enhances Ferndale’s character and sense of place.

Following a period of community consultation and development approvals, the first stage of land development is planned for the 2020-21 financial year and will see the release of approximately 35 lots.
