The Housing Authority has established a Design and Construction Panel as part of the $560 million Social Housing Investment Package (SHIP).
Through SHIP, the panel of builders will deliver up to 1200 homes in the Perth metropolitan area, aimed at halving the number of seniors and families with children on the priority waitlist by June 30, 2017.
The panel will construct dwellings under SHIP and other future construction programs, with design and construction packages of work awarded to panel members as they become available.
The use of the Design and Construction Panel will reduce cost and time associated with lodging and assessing tenders for both State Government and industry.
The panel will run for two years, with the option of two one-year extensions at the discretion of the Housing Authority.
