The Country Housing Authority loan programme has been made available to eligible pastoralists and farmers to finance 50 per cent of the cost of installing renewable energy generating equipment.
A rebate of 50 per cent of the capital cost of renewable energy power systems is already available to eligible projects. The WA Office of Energy administers this rebate.
The Country Housing Authority can arrange to finance the complete project with the rebate being paid direct to the CHA on completion of the project installation. The loan will then be reduced by the rebated amount.
