Old Treasury Building
The Treasury Buildings are a Perth landmark and among the most significant heritage sites in Western Australia. They are located in a major civic, cultural and heritage precinct which includes St George’s Cathedral, the Perth Town Hall, Council House, Government House, the Perth Concert Hall and the Supreme Court Building.
The State Government is currently considering options to redevelop these heritage-listed buildings.
Potential developers for the site are required to submit proposals that are sustainable and provide functional uses which will not only retain but also improve the high quality civic, cultural and heritage status of the buildings.
It is anticipated that the final development will include a high quality hotel, mixed-use specialty office and retail outlets such as legal offices, bars and restaurants.
